Marissa Lewis - Peart
22-year-old Graphic Designer with a passion how strategic design influences how people experience a brand.

About Me
In November 2018; In collaboration with The IPA (Institute of Practitioners in Advertising), Bristol Media and Babbasa, I won the 2019 Ben Martin Apprentice Award in memory of Ben who was the Managing Director at Bray Leino. As a result I was flown to Austin - Texas for SXSW, the world’s largest interactive media festival, in March 2019! It was an amazing experience where I met great people who are established in the industry, learnt about how brands are evolving and immersed myself into the future of design and creative tech.
Upon my return to the UK and graduating from university with a degree in Graphic Communication, I then completed a roster of 14 internships in various Marketing, Digital & Design agencies - Providing me with hands-on experience in now 16 agencies across creative disciplines of Graphic Design, Digital Design, Branding, Strategy, UX/UI, Packaging Design, CRM and Social.
Hobbies
When I’m not designing, I run a natural-hair-care Youtube channel where I encourage black women to embrace their kinky-curly hair. I work with brands to review products as well as host events and also attend events as a guest speaker.
In my spare time I take up street-dance as I’ve been training, performing and competing around Europe since the age of 7. Although I rarely compete anymore, it’s a great stress relief as well as a form of exercise that I do manage to stick to!
